The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America
Founded in 1891, the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America actively promotes our national heritage through historical preservation, patriotic service, and educational projects. The organization has earned the Trustee Emeritus Award for Excellence in the Stewardship of Historic Sites from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The Wisconsin Society of the NSCDA owns and operates the Historic Indian Agency House and its 233 acres of land. NSCDA-WI also jointly manages Kilbourntown House (also known as the Benjamin Church House) in Shorewood, Wisconsin, in partnership with the Milwaukee County Historical Society and Milwaukee County Parks.
