Mobile museum program
for schools, care facilities, & other community venues
Thanks to a generous grant from the Greater Sauk Community Foundation, we are thrilled to be able to bring a high-quality interactive, personalized, and economical museum experience right to your school, care facility, library, or other community venue!
History on the Move allows us to serve school districts too distant for in-person field trips; nursing home residents who are facility-bound; and more. Flexibility is built into the program in order to meet the needs of each audience, ranging from casual self-guided learning to a fully-guided programming experience. It is adaptable for indoor or outdoor use, as well.
Our museum's vital and fascinating story is highlighted through large all-weather banners, artifacts, displays, and hands-on components. This core educational material serves as a springboard for an accompanying educational program.
The rate for schools is $3 per student (teachers free) plus a fee for round-trip mileage. We can even set up the exhibition in a commons area, such as a gymnasium, and offer programming tailored to different age groups at various times throughout the day. Residents of care facilities also enjoy a special reduced rate of $3 per person plus a mileage fee. For other venues, such as a special public library program, the fee is an economical $5 per attendee plus mileage.
