Come for our opening day celebration! Author Ann Keating will be present for a book signing of her brand-new book: The World of Juliette Kinzie: Chicago Before the Fire.
Archaeology Kids' Camp
May 20-22 and 27-30, 2020
Children will learn hands-on what it takes to be an archaeologist. This day camp will be offered to 3rd through 5th grade school groups Wednesday through Friday each of the two weeks. On Saturday, May 30, this STEM-based camp will be offered to the general public (kids in grades 3 through 5). Registration is required. Space is limited, and camps will fill up quickly. Be sure to register early!
Mobile Museum Booth at the Midwest Horse Fair

We will have a booth set up right next to the blazing forges of the World Championship Blacksmiths Competition all weekend! The work of blacksmiths who served Native tribes through Indian Agencies in the early 19th century is a special focus.

Presentation at the Ice Age Trail Alliance Annual Conference

We will present, “The Agency House at the Portage: Geographic Intersection, Cultural Crossroads” at the Ice Age Trail Alliance conference in Stevens Point. Situated along the Ice Age Trail at the geographically-important area of the Portage, the Historic Indian Agency House became a cultural meeting ground where perceptions were challenged and transformed.

Our 233 acres surrounding the Agency House are a beautiful place to explore. Our guided nature walks are sure to be fun times of discovery.
Living History Day

This year's theme will be home entertainment in the 1830s. Watch a melodrama and participate by booing at the bad guy and cheering for our hero, while learning how our ancestors entertained themselves.
